Interested in becoming a coach, volunteer, or field trip chaperone for our school?
If you are a parent, guardian, or family member interested in becoming involved with school functions, you are required to complete a brief training through the Diocesan Safe Environment Program.
The safe environment program was an element of the U.S. bishops’ Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People adopted in 2002.
The program is a carefully crafted series of points detailing what to look for in children that might indicate that they are victims of abuse and what behavior to look for in adults that might indicate abusive behavior with children.
Additional information for the program can be found on the Diocese of Providence’s webpage.
All adults who work or volunteer with children in any capacity at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School are required to complete Safe Environment Training once every 3 years. If you have been unable to attend any of the training sessions at the school, you may complete the online training. In order to qualify, you may choose to view either the PowerPoint training or the video training by clicking below:

Fill out the form completely according to the directions and return to the school, marked to the attention of “Office of Compliance".
