Mrs. Carlson graduated from Roger Williams University with a degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics. She became a teacher because she wanted to make a difference in a child’s life. She has been teaching for 17 years.
There are many things that Mrs. Carlson loves about Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. First, is the school’s Catholic identity and its devotion to Mary. The other thing that she loves most about OLMC is the sense of community and family within the faculty, staff and students.
Mrs. Carlson is the Grade 8 homeroom teacher, which entails planning for their fundraising, graduation, banquet, and end of the year trip. She is also in charge of the yearbook.
She has participated in four NEASC accreditation visiting teams; and was also the coordinator for the school’s re-evaluation for NEASC in 2009 and 2019.
Mrs. Carlson lives in Riverside with her husband and two children. She enjoys reading, the beach, and spending time with her family!
