Mrs. Steadman is a resident of Bristol, and has been married for 36 years to her husband, Jeff and they are the proud parents of a son, Jacob.
Mrs. Steadman is a product of Catholic education, a graduate of Saint Michael the Archangel School in Pawcatuck, CT., Saint Bernard’s High School, Uncasville, Connecticut. She attended Wesleyan College in Macon, Ga., and received her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Rhode Island. In addition to her bachelor’s degree, she has continued her education at various colleges, attaining 40 credit hours in Master’s Degree courses, along with working toward the diocesan Certificate of Religious Education Program.
During her 34 years at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, Mrs. Steadman has taught Kindergarten, first and third grades and now presently teaches the youngest of children here at OLMC, Pre-K 3!
She finds great enjoyment in teaching the younger students. Her greatest feeling as a teacher is seeing students that she has taught grow into young adults who have become or are studying to become doctors, priests, accountants….and teachers. The greatest joy is having some of her former students now teach with her here at OLMC!
"While we try to teach our children all about life, Our children teach us what life is all about." ~ Angela Schwindt
